Nashville, Tennessee is on my list of want-to-visit locations. From the music scene to the amazing Parthenon, Nashville is just plain cool. I want to visit Historic RCA Studio B, where legends were born, then head on over to the Grand Ole Opry. Then I want to visit Margaritaville and top it all off with a tour of the numerous historic sites. I may even catch a Tennessee Titans football game at LP Field.
As much fun as it would be to visit Nashville, it would also be a great place to live. If you are looking for a Nashville apartment, check out some of these great neighborhoods:
Sylvan Heights: Perfectly located near downtown, this great area puts you within walking distance to the Centennial Sportsplex and the amazing Parthenon – an exact replica of the Parthenon in Greece and an amazing art museum.
West End: This historic area contains some amazing architecture with homes dating back to 1905. It is very close to Vanderbilt University and contains many popular restaurants and shops.
College Heights: As the name suggests, this is the place to be if you plan to attend either Tennessee State University or Vanderbilt University. This active area is also near the legendary Jefferson Street, the music district where greats such as Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard, Ray Charles, and more began their careers.
Capitol Hill: Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, this busy area contains government buildings, offices, high-rise apartments, shops, and funky nightclubs. Capitol Hill is a nightlife hotspot with the historic Ryman Auditorium and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
Watkins Park: This picturesque community is near another powerhouse college, Fisk University. Residents of Watkins Park enjoy great views of the downtown skyline, while being just slightly removed from the activity of the city.
For those who are Nashville-bound, enjoy this lively music city in the heart of the South. Learn to play the guitar, break in those cowboy boots, and let the sweet, smooth sound of jazz lead you home.
