Are you the Rory Gilmore type? You know – the one nestled into a corner of the bookstore, lost in a great read.

If you love books, or are obsessed with books, like Rory, then you should check out the 31st Annual Book Fair at Newberry Library! The book fair at Newberry is considered one of the largest used-book sales in America, and will take place at the Walton Street location on Thursday, July 23 – Sunday, July 26, 2015.

The book sale will have over 120,000 novels in over 70 categories, all reasonably priced around $2 or below. Browse children’s books, science fiction, biographies, cookbooks, and more at Newberry Library.  There will be autographed novels up for sale by Ansel Adams, Photographer; Herbert Hoover, 31st POTUS; Carl Sandburg, triple recipient of the Pulitzer Prize.

Other collector items for sale at the Newberry Library book fair include modern Russian literature in native tongue, Northern Soul records, and movies.

About the Museum:

The Newberry Library, established in 1887 on bequest of Walter Loomis Newberry, is an independent research library with a massive collection of archives and books covering six centuries of European and the Americas history and culture. Other artifacts and pieces at the library include historic maps, music from the Renaissance age, rare manuscripts, and genealogical textbooks and resources.

Thursday and Friday – noon to 8 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
