The ZRS Marketing Retreat 2014 was held Thursday, August 28 at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne in Miami. Apartment Finder President Marcia Bollinger opened the event with a custom ZRS Rap, which was followed by an eventful day that included everything from Google Penguins to FB cookies, Orange Slices, a bubble machine in dreamland, and an over-the-top Awards Banquet with emcee Jeremy Brown.
The theme of this year’s retreat was “technology” and roundtable discussions were held so companies could discuss the topic.
Apartment Finder was a sponsor and a ZRS favorite in a surprise morning session called “ZRS’ Favorite People.” In addition to her opening rap, Bollinger spoke on the content and social media panel, offering tips to help drive traffic to properties. At the end of the day, everyone dressed up and had dinner in the Ritz Carlton’s Grand Ballroom.
The retreat was informative with the tradeshow, learning sessions, and discussions. There were 160 ZRS employees at the conference to answer questions and offer advice. And while it was a great learning opportunity, it was also great fun – the gorgeous hotel on the beach, the technology trivia game, random drawings for prizes, and dancing the night away in dazzling Downtown Miami. All the excitement was captured by Cinema 31 (Jason and Team) with videography and a multitude of photos!
ZRS launched their new websites during the conference. The new site was developed by Spherexx.com, a ten-year partner with ZRS. The new websites are developed in Parallax style scrolling for an interactive user-controlled experience, and a responsive design which provides optimal viewing across multiple devices. It includes new branding imagery, top level navigation, instant connection features, three-dimensional floor plans, an online application completion process, rent pay, etc. Behind the scenes, the sites have been updated to respond to Googles’ many Penguin releases that impact ranking in search results. To celebrate this, ZRS had some special guests make an appearance during a break at the conference:
