Victoria Cowart’s 13 Year Community Service Project

Author: Lauren Ross

The multifamily industry touches lives every day.  From the maintenance repair guy to the rental housing executives, apartment professionals provide families with basic housing essentials while creating a community within the families that reside there.  And that’s just what Victoria Cowart of Darby Development Company, Inc. has accomplished in her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina – garnering a sense of community for the children in foster care.

Darby’s Vice President of Property Management Victoria Cowart, CPM, has gone above and beyond for her hometown of Charleston.  For the past 13 years, Cowart has actively volunteered in the annual Charleston Bunny Hop; a charitable cause that delivers Easter baskets to kids at the Carolina Youth Development Center.

Cowart and her team start by fundraising, and then shop for the goodies that reflect each child’s age.  This year’s baskets were backpacks, and were filled to the brim with plushy cows, blankets, lip balm, and more! To learn more about the sponsors, donors, volunteers, and Cowart’s team that made this year’s Bunny Hop event possible, you can check out the THSnational YouTube clip.
